All codes on canned products consist of 3 numbers followed by 7 letters. All codes on products in pouches consist of 3 numbers followed by 5 letters. Each unit is also marked with a time stamp and a "best before" date.

Only the following production code lots and associated "best before" dates of the indicated products are subject to this ongoing firm-initiated recall, and should not be fed to dogs or cats:

1. 13.6 oz. cans of "Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Urinary SO, Food for Dogs." Codes beginning with the following numbers and "best before" dates can be found on the bottom of the cans:
   • "511A" or "511B" - "best before 03/2007"
   • "521A" or "521B" - "best before 05/2007"
   • "525A" - "best before 06/2007"
     
     
2. 13.6 oz. cans of "Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Low Fat LF, Food for Dogs." Codes beginning with the following numbers and "best before" dates can be found on the bottom of the cans:
