Proposed updates to the Ionizing Radiation Rules are available for review and comment. The draft rules are based on the Suggested State Regulations for Control of Radiation (SSRCR) published by the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors. Revised draft documents will be published again for formal comments under the rule-making process. Comments regarding mammography and x-ray should be sent to John Ferris (MDCH) at jeferri@michigan.gov. Comments regarding radioactive materials should be sent to Bob Skowronek (DEQ) at skowronekr@michigan.gov.

Besides the proposed drafts, a version marked up to show changes from the SSRCR is also available in the table below.  In that version, deleted text is indicated by strikeout and inserted text is underlined.

The following ruleset is being proposed to be added to the current Ionizing Radiation Rules. These rules are are separate from the overhaul project above.
