What is Michigan Hands & Voices?

Michigan Hands & Voices is an organization dedicated to non-biased support to families who have children who are deaf or hard of hearing. 

Michigan Hands & Voices can provide:

  • Information sharing statewide to parents and professionals through newsletters and a listserve
  • Outreach events such as Picnics, visits to Museums, or Gardens
  • Parent-to-Parent Support and Networking
  • Networking
  • Presentations
  • Advocacy

What are Michigan Hands & Voices beliefs?

  • Michigan Hands & Voices believe that families will make the best choices for their child if they have access to good information and support.
  • The organization represents people who use varying approaches to communication and assistive technology---from American Sign Language to cochlear implants.
