AMENDMENT TO RULE 5-4.2, OVERTIME
|
M. Scott Bowen, Director of the Office of the State Employer, has requested that the Commission amend Civil Service Rule 5-4 to exclude sick leave time as a basis for calculating overtime, effective October 1, 2008. The change would make overtime computation for NEREs consistent with recently negotiated changes applicable to exclusively-represented employees.
The attached draft amendment to rule 5-4.2, if approved, would exclude sick leave as a basis for calculating overtime, effective October 1, 2008.
The proposed amendment will be considered by the Civil Service Commission at its next meeting, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2007, Capitol Commons Center, 400 S. Pine Street, Lansing.
