Fees for License Plates, Registrations and Titles

The chart below contains commonly requested information regarding vehicle registration and title fees. All fees are effective Oct. 1, 2003. The information provides an overview and does not cover every affected transaction.

Please contact the department's Information Center at 1-888-SOS-MICH (1-888-767-6424) with any questions.

If a license plate expires on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the expiration date is extended to the next business day before a $10 late fee is assessed.
