Non-driving Loss of License

• Teen Drivers and Alcohol
Simply possessing any alcoholic beverage, whether in a motor vehicle or not, can result in a license suspension for a teen.

• Child Support
Legislation (Michigan Vehicle Code Sections 257.320e and 257.321c) was enacted to suspend the Michigan driver license and occupational license of parents if they are behind in payments of their child support.

• Financial Responsibility
If someone is driving a vehicle without insurance and is at-fault in an accident, the injured party may file a suit against the uninsured motorist in court for damages.

• Anti-drug Laws
Michigan law requires driver license suspensions for drug convictions.
