Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Ogemaw County to serve customers in the Prescott area on July 19 - 20.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to the disability community. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

It will be at the Mills Township Hall, 2441 Greenwood Road. Hours are 11 a.m. to

7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 20.

"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said.

"I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

Later this month the Mobile Branch Office will be in Battle Creek. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
