Due to the National Driver Record Database not being operational on Sundays, the Mobile Branch Office is unable to process driver transactions on Sundays. The Mobile Branch Office is available for other types of transactions and to provide information. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to the disability community. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

The fairgrounds are located at 1120 W. State Fair Ave. The Mobile Branch Office will be on Wolverine Way across from the Administration Building. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.

Following its visit to Detroit the Mobile Branch Office will be in Schoolcraft, East Lansing, Mt. Pleasant, Big Rapids, Allendale, Grand Rapids, Houghton, Marquette, Sault Ste. Marie, Saginaw, Clinton Township and Warren. The Mobile Branch Office has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
