JUNE 11, 2008
Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in southeast Michigan to serve customers at two senior centers in Novi and Northville on June 25 and 26.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at the Novi Senior Center, 25075 Meadowbrook Road, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at the Northville Community Senior Center, 303 W. Main St.
"I encourage area seniors as well as other residents to take advantage of this convenient option to conduct their Department of State business," Land said. "The mobile office is a great example of how we're offering service options close to you."
The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to people with disabilities. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer that has logged more than 125,000 miles since it first hit the road more than 10 years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department's online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
