NOVEMBER 20, 2008
Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch
Office will be in Eaton County to serve Eaton Rapids-area customers on Dec. 3
and 4.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 4. The office will be at the Eaton Rapids Senior Center, 201
Grand St.
"I encourage Eaton Rapids-area customers to take advantage of this convenient
option to conduct their Department of State business," Land said. "The mobile
office is a great example of how we're continually offering services close to
you."
The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is
accessible to people with disabilities. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot
trailer that has logged more than 125,000 miles since it first hit the road more
than 10 years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the
department's online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before
visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft
registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers
determine requirements before they go to an office.
