Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be at the Brooklyn Village Square on Sept. 8 and 9 to serve area customers.
The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
The Village Square is located at 121 N. Main (M-50). Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
"We want the Department of State to be convenient and accessible," Land said. "The Mobile Branch Office is one more tool that lets us better serve Michigan residents."
Later in September, the mobile branch office travels to Battle Creek, and Northville. It has logged nearly 100,000 miles since it first hit the road six years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check the department Web site at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
