Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in the Kalamazoo County community of Bloomingdale at the Town Hall on Oct. 22 and 23 to serve customers in and around Van Buren County.
The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
The Mobile Branch Office will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23.
"We’re always looking for ways to make our customers lives more convenient," Land said. "The Mobile Branch Office is a great way for us to provide efficient service to all corners of Michigan."
Following its visit to Bloomingdale, the Mobile Branch Office will travel to Wayland, Eaton Rapids, Elsie, Westphalia, and Vermontville. It has logged nearly 100,000 miles since it first hit the road six years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
