Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be at the Elsie Village Hall in Clinton County on Nov. 12 - 13 to serve area customers.

The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

The Elsie Village Hall is at 125 W. Main. Mobile Branch Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days.

"We’re making it as convenient as possible for people to do business with us," Land said. "The Mobile Branch Office lets us serve customers in all corners of Michigan."

Following its visit to Elsie, the Mobile Branch Office will also be in Westphalia and Vermontville in November. It has logged nearly 100,000 miles since it first hit the road six years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
