MARCH 17, 2004
Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be at American Seating in Grand Rapids on March 31 – April 1 to serve area customers.
The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
American Seating is at 401 American Seating Center. Mobile Branch Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., both days.
"From voter registration to license renewal, we’re here to help," Land said. "The Mobile Branch Office lets us serve customers in all corners of Michigan."
Following its visit to Grand Rapids, the Mobile Branch Office will be in South Lyon and Charlotte in April. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly seven years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, vehicle license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
