OVERVIEW
The State of Michigan is working with software developers and tax preparers
to encourage taxpayers to e-file their income tax returns. Choosing e-file will
help save Michigan taxpayer dollars. E-filed returns cost 83% less to process
than paper returns.
Your 2011 income tax return may be e-filed beginning January 17, 2012.
E-file is the fastest, easiest, most convenient way to your refund. E-file
returns are processed faster than paper returns. Please
allow 14 days before checking the status of your e-filed return using the
Michigan Department of Treasury's "Check My Income Tax Info" Web site
