Tom Saxton has been a Deputy Treasurer since 2006, he currently oversees the Bond Finance and Student Financial Services bureaus.

Saxton was previously Acting Deputy Director of Facilities Administration within the Department of Management and Budget. Prior to that appointment, he spent more than twenty years with the State Building Authority (SBA) having been named Executive Director in 1989. Saxton has worked for the State of Michigan since 1970.

State Treasurer Robert Kleine appointed Tom Saxton as Deputy Treasurer in June of 2006.
