If a pregnant worker is placed on a mandatory maternity leave of absence
she will not be denied unemployment benefits while on the leave, as long
as she remains able to work during the leave.
If a pregnant worker requests to be placed on a maternity leave of absence,
she will not be considered "unemployed" during the leave and
therefore will not be entitled to unemployment benefits during the leave.
