We are pleased to announce that renovations to the administrative offices of the Workers' Compensation Agency are just about complete. Plans are under way for the move back to the State Secondary Complex on September 8, 2007. For those who use MapQuest or other mapping services, the physical address is 7150 Harris Drive, Dimondale, Michigan 48821 (I-96, Exit 98A). The phone numbers remain the same, as does the mailing address of P.O. Box 30016, Lansing, Michigan 48909.
As in our previous move, the case files housed at our administrative offices will be boxed up and unavailable from September 4 through
September 14, 2007. During that time, staff will be unable to process any requests involving those files. If you anticipate the need for a file for redemption or other purposes during this period, please e-mail your request to Sue Jones at joness1@michigan.gov as soon as possible. As in the last move, we will try to accommodate parties as much as possible regarding file access, but your cooperation will be appreciated.
The Appellate Commission will be moving to the Secondary Complex on September 27, 2007. Additional details about their new mailing address and telephone/fax numberswill be posted to their website within the next week. Remember, meeting any filing deadlines specified in the rules will remain the responsibility of the parties.
The Lansing hearing site will be moving to the Secondary Complex on Friday, September 28, 2007. The last day of hearings at the Ottawa Building will be on Thursday, September 27th, and they will resume in the new hearings office at the complex on Tuesday, October 2nd. We are sure that the parties to cases will appreciate the free parking and easier access at the Secondary Complex.
